A & S Fabricating Co. has an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Plasma Burn Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate machinery for steel plate burning. A great CNC Plasma Burn Machine Operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. The successful candidate must have an eye for detail, a great mechanical aptitude and be able to ensure that production procedures are carried out smoothly and safely to maximize efficiency and profits.

Responsibilities
- Operate a CNC Plasma Burning Machine.
- Unload Steel Trucks & Place Steel Plates in Plate Racks.
- Load Plates onto Burning Machine Table.
- Burn or Plasma Parts to Desired Shape.
- Measure Parts for Accuracy.
- Grind Off Burnt Edges to Remove Burrs.
- Mark Parts and Palletize for Fab Shop.
- Operate Overhead Cranes and Forklifts.
Required Skills
- Must Have Prior Experience Operating a Burn Machine.
- Or a Minimum of 2 Years Fabrication Shop Experience.
- Must Be Able to Operate Overhead Cranes.
- Must Have the Ability to Read and Understand Drawings.
- Must Have Good Working Knowledge of Computers.
- Must Have Strong Knowledge of Custom Fabrication and Machine Shop Procedures.
- Must Be Able to Use Power and Hand Tools, Hand Torches, Air Arcs, Grinders, and Other Shop Tools.
- Must Have a Strong Work Ethic, Be Dependable, and Responsible.
- Must Have the Ability to Work Independently and Multitask in a Fast-Paced Environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD & ProNest Program.
- Fitting, Welding and/or Machining Skills would be beneficial.
Other Requirements
- Must Pass A & S Fabricating Co. Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Screening & Physical.
Work Hours
- Typical Workdays are Monday - Friday.
- Typical Work Hours are 6:30 am - 3:00 pm CST (30 min. lunch break).
- Overtime and Weekend Work is Determined by Production Demands.
