Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated, outgoing individual to represent our floral studio in the community. This role is focused on building relationships with local businesses and organizations that regularly need floral services.
This is a field-based role ... not a desk job.
Responsibilities
- Visit local businesses in person (funeral homes, churches, schools, offices, assisted living communities)
- Introduce A Ray of Sunshine Floral and build relationships over time
- Follow up consistently with key contacts
- Develop preferred florist partnerships
- Identify opportunities for recurring orders (sympathy, events, weekly arrangements, prom, etc.)
- Track visits, contacts, and follow-ups
- Represent the brand in a professional, friendly, and consistent way
What Success Looks Like
- 10–15 in-person visits per week
- Consistent follow-up with key partners
- New relationships forming within the first 30–60 days
- New business and repeat orders generated from outreach
Ideal Candidate
- Comfortable walking into businesses and starting conversations
- Persistent and not discouraged by rejection
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and organized
- Local to Hilliard / Columbus area
- Sales, retail, or customer-facing experience preferred
Compensation
- Part-time (15–30 hours/week)
- Base hourly pay: $15–$18/hour (depending on experience)
- Commission: 5%–10% on new business generated
