Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support, long-term care, and memory care, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of personal care and assistance. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in need, while also promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  • Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including assisting clients with mobility and transfers.
  • Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional conditions to family members or healthcare professionals.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all living spaces are tidy and organized.
  • Support clients with medication reminders and adherence as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in long-term care or as a caregiver is preferred.
  • Knowledge of memory care techniques is advantageous.
  • Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
  • A background in nursing, social work, or related fields is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Must be reliable, compassionate, and possess a strong sense of responsibility towards client care.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $16.84 - $17.53 per hour
