What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver position at Golden Angels Home Health Care?
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home care to clients, assisting with daily activities such as cleaning the home and house chores such as laundry, take out trash, prepare meals, etc. Sometimes some clients may need bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with medication reminders and administration
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
Experience:
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
