Residential Install Manager - HVAC

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (Base, depending on experience) Quarterly Goal Bonuses

Position Overview:
A Quality HVAC & Plumbing is looking for an experienced Residential Install Manager to lead our growing installation team in Goodyear, AZ. The Residential Install Manager will oversee HVAC system installations for residential clients, ensuring high-quality work, maintaining customer satisfaction, and managing a team of installers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential HVAC installation and leadership, with a focus on team performance, efficiency, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and manage a team of residential HVAC installers.
- Ensure all HVAC installations are completed on time, within budget, and according to company standards.
- Manage daily operations of the installation department, including scheduling, project tracking, and resource allocation.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure all installations meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing issues, concerns, and feedback promptly.
- Work closely with Sales and Service departments to ensure smooth coordination regarding installation schedules and customer needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the installation team in troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring proper installation procedures.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members comply with safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of installation materials and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure timely availability.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including installation times, customer satisfaction, and quality control metrics.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and inspections.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any installation-related issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Daily and Weekly Expectations:
- Early Start: The Install Manager is expected to be on-site before the installers to ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are ready for the day. This proactive approach ensures smooth daily operations.
- Daily Huddles: Conduct and lead morning huddles with the installation team to discuss the day's tasks, address any challenges, and ensure team alignment with goals and customer needs.
- Weekly Meetings: Hold weekly meetings with the installation team to discuss performance, safety, ongoing issues, and continuous improvement. Provide feedback and updates to keep everyone on track.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to all ongoing installations to ensure quality standards are maintained. These visits should also involve addressing any concerns, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring installations are on schedule.
- Customer Interaction: The Install Manager will meet customers during installation, ensuring their needs are addressed. While installers will do the majority of customer-facing work, the Install Manager will be responsible for ensuring that customer satisfaction is a top priority on every job site.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a Install Manager role.
- Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, installation practices, and local building codes.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- NATE certification or other relevant HVAC certifications preferred.
Compensation Structure:
- Base Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (Base, depending on experience)
