OEM Tech Representative

Reporting to the Operations Manager or Director of Managed Services and indirectly to Quality Mgr. at the contract location. The OEM Tech Representative is responsible for gathering, processing, and reporting, and data generated at a defined site or within a specific region to the assigned QE and management team of the Customer.

• Answer line product issues/call

• Inspect/sort and contain product as needed to ensure product quality

• Supervise/monitor inspectors performing sort and containment process as needed to ensure product quality

• Perform small rework/repair in accordance to prescribe procedure process approved by customers engineering

• Review rejected product and if needed, arrange for parts to be returned

• Communicate customer concerns via telephone, fax, and e-mail (pictures)

• Enhance customer relations via timely contact to discuss any issues/concerns that may arise.

• Conduct regular audits of products (frequent walk through and talk with line operators)

• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to read and follow directions to written procedures, specifications, etc.

• Effectively communicate via telephone, e-mail, fax, written, verbal and documentation/reports.

• Moderate computer skills, i.e. Microsoft programs and load and send pictures via e-mail

• Ability to follow applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures at the customer /work site

• Personal protective equipment may be required

• High School diploma or equivalency (Required)

• Technical Degree or Vocational Training (Preferred)

• Prior sorting or inspection experience in automotive (Required)

• 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing and quality in automotive (Preferred)

• Background checks and/or drug tests may be required

To successfully perform the duties of this job, the associate is required to have the ability and skills sufficient to interact with branch personnel, corporate personnel, and temporary employees in person, via phone, and via email. The associate must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand/eye coordination, arm/hand/finger dexterity including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment, read, and write the application information. The staff associate is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
