Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in triage and emergency response situations as needed.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Support patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer’s disease.
Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support.
- Strong clinical skills in areas such as IV infusion, medication administration, catheterization, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing.
- Familiarity with various healthcare settings, including acute care, long-term care, hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and home care.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and physical examinations effectively.
- Experience working with patients requiring specialized care, such as those in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
