Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues promptly, utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated systems efficiently.
- Conduct welding and electrical repairs with precision, adhering to safety standards and technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, including residential painting and general repairs, ensuring quality workmanship.
- Supervise junior team members or contractors during maintenance tasks, providing guidance and ensuring safety compliance.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Lead safety initiatives related to facilities maintenance, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics.
- Hands-on skills in welding, electrical repairs, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Experience supervising or leading teams in a maintenance setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their application in automated systems.
- Ability to perform residential painting as part of general facility upkeep is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
