Role Description

This is a part-time, off-site role located in Columbia, TN as a Professional Pet Sitter & Dog Walker. You will be responsible for providing attentive, compassionate, and reliable pet care to a variety of pets, including Visits, Dog Walks and Potty Breaks tailored to each pet's energy and needs:

• Fresh food and clean water are served exactly according to each pet's routine
• Medication administration when needed
• Playtime that engages both body and mind
• Litter box scooping and mental playtime stimulation for our feline friends
• Lots of love, cuddles, and gentle attention
• Detailed visit reports with photos and video, so clients always know how their pet is doing

This is very much a customer service role as much as it is a pet care position, and the people you'll serve genuinely make it a joy. The position requires a deep commitment to maintaining the health, safety, and happiness of each pet.

Qualifications

• Is 18 years or older
• Has a valid driver's license, your own reliable and insured transportation for commuting to scheduled events
• Can commute to Columbia and Spring Hill, TN, in all kinds of weather, because pets need us rain or shine, snow or humidity
• Is 100% reliable — the pets in your care depend on you showing up for every scheduled visit
• Strong communication skills for providing detailed updates to pet owners and addressing their specific needs
• Responds promptly to messages and writes clear, warm, observant pet reports
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and notices when something seems even slightly off
• Can provide professional references and successfully pass a background check
• Skills in animal care, pet care, and pet sitting with the ability to handle pets of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments
• Willingness to complete Pet CPR/First Aid certification and further relevant training
• Reliable, trustworthy, punctual, independent, and attentive to detail
• Passion for animal welfare and ensuring the well-being of pets

Experience working with dogs and cats in a professional setting is a nice-to-have, but not required. What matters most is your heart, your reliability and your willingness to learn and grow with us.

The Practical Details

1. SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed. General hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, though exact visit times may vary based on client needs and pet routines.

2. LOCATION

Services are in Columbia, TN, with occasional visits to Spring Hill, TN. You'll need to be comfortable commuting within these areas.

3. COMMITMENT

We're looking for someone ready to stay with us for at least one year. The pets and families you'll serve deserve that kind of consistency, and so does our growing team.
