Role:
The Lead Business Analyst will spearhead requirements gathering and stakeholder communication for a federal data management system. This role ensures that all business, functional, and compliance requirements are accurately captured and communicated to the development and QA teams.
Duties:
The Lead Business Analyst will:
- Engage with federal stakeholders to identify, clarify, and document business requirements.
- Translate complex programmatic needs into user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and feasibility studies for optimal solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and testers to validate solutions and address potential issues.
- Act as a liaison for change requests, documenting and prioritizing them within the project backlog.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
Required Skills:
- 3 years of business analysis experience, including at least 1–2 years on federal IT projects.
- Proficient in creating user stories, functional requirements, and use-case documentation.
- Proficient in writing clear business requirements for DevOps projects
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and relevant tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with DB2/MVS, MicroStrategy, or AWS/cloud-based systems.
- Certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
- Prior experience working with CMS/HHS or federal health programs.
