Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprentice to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
- Support service technicians in troubleshooting using schematics and HVAC design plans
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC and related mechanical systems
- Learn to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Aid in the repair of appliances and property maintenance tasks as needed
- Support field service operations including equipment repair and system diagnostics
- Assist with welding, equipment assembly, and other mechanical tasks under supervision
- Help ensure all work areas comply with safety standards and proper procedures
Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical concepts
- Experience or familiarity with appliance repair, property maintenance, or boiler operation is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance processes
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices
- Basic welding skills are desirable but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions from experienced technicians
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for field service support roles
- Prior experience in service technician roles or mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory
