TRAINING MANAGER
Position Title: Training Manager
Department: Safety & Training
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary
The Training Manager leads the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training programs for operators, supervisors, and support staff within the paratransit operation. This role ensures that all employees receive high-quality, compliant, and effective training aligned with FTA, DOT, OSHA, and internal standards. The Training Manager oversees onboarding, retraining, evaluations, and documentation to support operational performance and safety excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and manage classroom, virtual, and field training programs.
Facilitate new-hire operator training, recertifications, and remedial training.
Ensure training material aligns with federal, state, and local regulations.
Track training completion and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
Conduct evaluations, ride-checks, and ongoing skill assessments.
Partner with Operations, Safety, and Maintenance to identify training gaps.
Implement performance-improvement training plans for employees.
Generate regular training reports and performance analyses.

Minimum Qualifications
3–5 years of training or workforce development experience.
Experience in a transportation, safety, or regulatory environment.
Strong knowledge of FTA, DOT, OSHA, and ADA requirements.
Experience with adult learning principles and instructional design.
Proficiency with LMS platforms and virtual training tools.

Preferred Qualifications
TSSP, NATMI, or similar safety certification.
Experience training operators in a paratransit or transit system.
