FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Position Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: General Manager
Position Summary
The Fleet Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance and repair operations for the paratransit fleet. This role oversees a team of mechanics, manages preventive maintenance schedules, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains safe, road-ready vehicles to support service delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Direct daily activities of mechanics and maintenance personnel.
Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and road calls.
Maintain accurate maintenance records compliant with FTA/MARTA standards.
Manage inventory, parts ordering, and vendor relationships.
Ensure shop safety, cleanliness, and equipment readiness.
Train and evaluate maintenance staff.
Support budgeting for materials, staffing, and equipment.
Coordinate emergency maintenance support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
5 years of fleet maintenance or automotive operations experience.
Supervisory experience in a maintenance shop.
Strong knowledge of DOT, ADA, and paratransit vehicle requirements.
Ability to manage preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications
ASE certifications (A1–A9, H8) or OEM training.
Experience managing a fleet of 70 vehicles.
Experience in public transit or paratransit maintenance.
