BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL NANNY
Part-Time
Nanny Position – Alexandria, VA (Split-Shift)
Start Date— Mid August
Location: Alexandria, VA
Schedule: (3) days per week (flexible) 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM;(20 hours/week)
Compensation: $30 per hour Mileage Reimbursement
Position Overview:
A loving family in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a Compassionate, fun and patient before
and after school nanny to care for their 3
children ages 5-year-old, 7-year-old and 13-year-old children starting. Care
is needed 3 days per week (flexible
on which days), from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM
and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Intellectual Disabilities:
Two of the children
are on the Autism spectrum. 13 yr. old is sweet, mental capacity like 3-year-old.
He likes to mainly hang at the house, watch his iPad which is typically sesame
street, or wiggles, use his indoor swing, able to express his needs with single
words. 7 yr. old is higher functioning. She has more communication skills. She
likes to play in her room, loves baby shark and slime!
Responsibilities:
● Provide attentive and nurturing
care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
● Provide transportation to and from
school.
● Drop off and pick up children.
● Follow the family's gentle
parenting approach, which includes firm boundaries and loss of privileges if
misbehaving.
● Communicate openly with parents,
including when they are working from home.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1–3 years of professional
experience caring for multiple children
- Experience working with children with
Autism a plus but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing
to update certification before the start date).
- Warm, patient, reliable, and proactive
personality.
- Comfortable following parents’
preferences and maintaining a structured routine.
- Must be a US citizen
- Calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
- Non-smoker and resides in a non-smoking
household
- Confident managing children with
disabilities
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Values communication and collaboration
with parents
Compensation:
● $30 based on experience.
● Guaranteed weekly hours

babies and toddlers that is verifiable by reference.
● A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
● Reliable personal transportation
to get to the family’s home.
● Comfortable working in a home
where a parent may be present.
● Must pass a background check
● Must be (or willing to become)
CPR/1st Aid Certified
