We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Install new HVAC equipment and mechanical systems following schematics and HVAC design specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure HVAC system reliability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics for complex HVAC/R systems.
- Repair plumbing components associated with HVAC systems and perform welding or equipment repair as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and building automation system controls to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service visits.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance.
- Construction experience or property maintenance background is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical systems repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or
driver certification preferred. - EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or building automation systems are advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with plumbing, boiler operation, appliance repair, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments.
