Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Montessori Guide to lead our TK/K classroom (ages 3–6). You will be responsible for creating a "prepared environment" that fosters independence, social-emotional growth, and academic readiness through the Montessori method. Unlike traditional teaching, your role is to observe, guide, and facilitate individual learning journeys.

- Deliver individualized and small-group lessons using Montessori materials in Math, Language, and Practical Life.
- Use keen observation to determine each child's readiness for new concepts.
- Foster a love of learning by following the child's interests.
- The Prepared Environment Maintain an orderly, beautiful, and stimulating classroom that encourages self-directed work.
- Social-Emotional Support Model and teach Grace and Courtesy, conflict resolution, and respectful communication.
- Observation & Records Maintain detailed, daily records of student progress, work habits, and mastered skills.
- Communication Build strong partnerships with families through regular updates, newsletters, and parent education.
- Ensure all materials are complete, clean, and developmentally appropriate for the 4–6 age group.
- Guide students in developing self-regulation, independence, and accountability.
- Create periodic progress reports and conduct formal parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with assistants and administrators to ensure school-wide standards are met.
- Extensive knowledge of Montessori methods combined with strong classroom management skills.
- Experience working with children across diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and preschool-aged students.
- Proficiency in curriculum development for early childhood education encompassing literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that support positive student engagement.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention techniques to support individual learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Demonstrated experience in lesson planning, classroom organization, and maintaining a nurturing learning environment.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments. Required Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
* Certification: Montessori Teaching Credential (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited) for the Primary level (ages 3–6).
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Montessori classroom setting preferred.
* State Requirements: California Title 22 or local licensing compliance, including 12 ECE units and current CPR/First Aid certification.

Pay: $21.03 - $26.94 per hour
