Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing Montessori-based lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and practical life skills.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a calm, organized environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Engage with children individually and in small groups to promote social-emotional development and positive behavior management.
- Prepare classroom materials and learning activities aligned with curriculum development standards.
- Observe and document each child's progress, communicating insights to the lead teacher for ongoing assessment.
- Foster a safe, inclusive space that encourages children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, to thrive.
- Support toddlers and preschool-aged children in their daily routines, including meal times, potty training, and nap schedules.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and Montessori teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
- Experience in lesson planning across subjects such as literacy education, math, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with working with children who have special needs or require individualized support.
- Ability to manage classroom activities efficiently while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude.
