Senior Revenue Specialist
Location: Remote – Must be local to Louisville, KY
Pay Rate: $25-33/hour on W-2
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Revenue Specialist to support general accounting and revenue operations for a large organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that sales and cash activity is accurately recorded within financial statements, with a strong focus on daily cash matching, reconciliations, discrepancy research, and journal entries.
The position can be performed remotely; however, candidates must be local to the Louisville, KY area due to the potential for conversion to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily matching and reconciliation of cash, credit card, and gift card activity.
- Research and resolve discrepancies through store outreach, bank research, over/short reporting, and refund requests.
- Complete period-end reconciliations for cash, credit cards, gift cards, and other general ledger accounts.
- Monitor and perform weekly sales distribution activities.
- Prepare, document, and upload journal entries each accounting period.
- Research missing or inaccurate sales activity and assist with sales suspense accounts.
- Prepare gift card journal entries and support related accounting activities.
- Assist with overhead allocations and brand-level matching activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Treasury, Audit, Loss Prevention, Field Operations, and accounting/control functions.
- Provide backup support for other members of the revenue accounting team as needed.
- Meet established deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- Experience with JDE/JD Edwards.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- PivotTables
- VLOOKUP
- Data analysis and reconciliation
- Experience with account reconciliations and discrepancy research.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple internal departments.
Salary : $25 - $33
