MATERIAL HANDLER IIILocation: Sparks Glencoe, MDSchedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPay Rate: $18.00/hourJOB OVERVIEWThe Material Handler III performs a combination of physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storage, distribution, and order fulfillment of materials, products, and supplies. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production and distribution operations, and resolving complex material handling issues. Forklift certification and SAP experience are required.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPerform administrative and physical tasks involving shipping, receiving, storing, staging, and supplying raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goodsPrepare goods for shipment to distribution centersComplete required SAP training and perform all material transactions in SAPOrder materials from outside vendors, receive deliveries, and complete goods receipt transactionsPhysically locate materials in the warehouse and accurately record locations in SAPPerform bin-to-bin transfers and move materials from warehouse to PSA locationsHand-load carts, racks, and equipment and deliver materials to production areasRun material staging processes in SAPReview production schedules and determine material requirementsMaintain appropriate inventory levels in PSA locationsConduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracyUtilize independent judgment to troubleshoot and resolve material or warehouse issuesProvide support to leads or supervisors as neededAssist with onboarding, training, and implementation of new proceduresSupport special projects as assignedFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), housekeeping, and safety policiesWork overtime as required to meet business needsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma with 4 years of related experienceMinimum of 1 year of SAP experience and forklift operationForklift certification requiredValid driver’s license requiredCertification in Dangerous Goods (IATA, DOT DG, or IMDG preferred)Extensive SAP knowledge requiredExperience using material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, shrink wrapper)Basic SkillsAbility to perform routine manual tasks and recognize deviations from specificationsStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to maintain accurate records manually and electronicallyAbility to manage frequent changes in assignmentsProficient/Working SkillsProficient in English (reading, writing, basic math, and chart interpretation)Basic proficiency with personal computers and Windows-based systemsAbility to use independent judgment for planning, troubleshooting, and problem-solvingAbility to work in a repetitive environment and stand for extended periodsIf you are interested, please reach out to Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing. 586-323-4194 | cyang@alinestaffing.com.
