Instrument Test Technician IMilpitas, CA 95035Pay: $27/hrSchedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Monday–FridayOvertime: Must be able to work OT as neededInterviews: In-personJob OverviewThe Instrument Test Technician I is responsible for performing production assembly operations, system-level testing, and performance optimization of complex instruments. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and software-based troubleshooting to diagnose issues with test equipment and determine appropriate solutions based on pass/fail performance criteria. The technician will serve as a subject matter expert in instrument functionality and collaborate closely with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams.Responsibilities and Duties• Build, integrate, and understand the full assembly process for instruments in production• Perform all test procedures on at least one moderately complex instrument, including functional and release testing• Analyze test data to determine pass/fail results and identify solutions for failures• Optimize system performance, including precision movement and lighting systems, using test data• Identify defects and recommend process or design improvements• Read and understand technical drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards• Train associates on mechanical and testing activities as needed• Perform production activities in compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP, and company safety/quality standards• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams• Follow all company operating procedures, specifications, and policies• Perform material handling for raw materials and sub-assemblies• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment• Follow all housekeeping and safety procedures• Work overtime as required• Perform other related duties as assignedQualifications• AA degree in mechatronics or a related field OR 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting• Strong understanding of testing procedures, instrument assembly, and troubleshooting methodologies• Ability to interpret technical documents and apply established GMP proceduresIf you are interested, please reach out to Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing. 586-323-4194 | cyang@alinestaffing.com.
