Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising children during play, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Support classroom management by maintaining organized, clean, and inviting learning spaces
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, progress, and any concerns
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws
- Help with diapering, feeding, and basic infant care as needed for younger children in the center
- Support staff in maintaining compliance with licensing requirements related to childhood development standards
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and toddler care practices
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving young children is advantageous
