A&I Distributors is looking for an experienced manager who can train and mentor our warehouse team and move us forward with continued growth and success. A&I is a highly successful, growing family- and employee-owned oil distributor with over 100 years of service, selling some of the largest oil companies’ lubricants, filters, chemicals, and diesel exhaust fluid.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time position with a highly competitive market wage salary for the position and area, based on experience and demonstrated success in the responsibilities and attributes of the role.
Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm , with overtime as required.
Responsibilities
- Manage warehouse operations including warehouse employee team allocation and management.
- Oversee receiving, processing, routing, staging, and loading of daily route delivery and transfer orders.
- Coordinate receiving of bulk and package truck loads.
- Report and work with the Branch Operations Manager to provide leadership and management of team assignments.
- Mentor, coach, and train team personnel on SOPs, responsibilities, and A&I culture of service, integrity, trust, grit, and ingenuity.
- Work closely with team members and promote collaboration with direct and open communication.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Bulk Operations to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Strategize with Bulk Operations and Warehouse Team to optimize product organization.
- Collaborate with Fleet Coordinator/Driver Manager and driver team to support driver safety and performance.
- Support logistics of third-party required fleet maintenance.
- Communicate regularly with Sales Team and office staff to facilitate fulfillment, support growth, and provide superior customer satisfaction.
- Consistently promote and enforce safety policies and compliance requirements throughout the warehouse.
- Lead consistent and pertinent safety briefings with the warehouse team.
- Communicate safety, facility, and compliance-related concerns to the Branch Operations Manager.
Experience Requirements
- 10 years warehouse experience.
- 5 years demonstrated warehouse operational management experience.
- Operations logistics experience including shipping, receiving, deliveries, and inventory management.
- Leadership and management experience with diverse team of warehouse employees.
- Success in operational customer service.
- Office management and processing understanding.
- Forklift certified.
- Proficient in ERP business platforms, CSD preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs.
- Warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. of product.
