Job Details - Full Time Counter Help:
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
- Promptly meet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Obtain the correct products and accessories for the customer in a timely manner
- Accurately price products and accessories using the proper pricing source and transfer the information to the proper document and computer system.
- Answer telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller's inquiry.
- Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
- Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing.
- Inform customers by mail or telephone of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
- Obtain customers' names, addresses, billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased, and enter this information on order forms.
- Collect payment for merchandise, record transactions, and send items, such as checks or money orders for further processing.
- Maintain the counter department in a clean and orderly manner.
- Create and maintain merchandising display to promote product sales.
- Assisting Branch Manager with daily tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education):
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- One year of experience as a front counter associate
Physical Demands & Working Conditions: The work environment and physical demands described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
- Must frequently sit, walk, stand, kneel, or stoop.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and overtime as needed)
