Our family owned and operated facility is staffed by hard-working, energetic, dog-loving team members. We love our clients' dogs like they are our own! Currently we are looking for committed, flexible applicants.
Kennel Attendants are responsible for:
- Supervising dogs during playtime and managing and reading their behavior. Applicants must be capable of managing a large pack of dogs and constantly be aware of dog behavior, read dog body language, and always ensure the dogs’ safety
- Maintaining clean play areas and equipment
- Picking up pet waste keeps all play yards clean of waste at ALL times.
- Must be confident working with dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments as well as be capable of managing a large pack of dogs. Furthermore, attendants must constantly be aware of dog behavior, read dog body language, and always ensure the dogs’ safety.
- Hotel for Dogs employees work as a flowing team and applicants must be able work in this manner, be motivated to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within the facility and grow with our company.
- Must be willing to work both inside and outside in all weather elements
- Enjoy interacting with clients in a courteous and friendly manner as well as working cooperatively with other staff members, volunteers, management, and rescue partners.
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
- Open to working at least one weekend day per week
- Hard working, reliable, patient, punctual, responsible, and work effectively and efficiently
Must have:
- Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
-Prior pet care experience is required, and applicants must be able to handle both small and large breed dogs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- References who can confirm reliability
