Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics - In Home Health
Hours: 16 hours / week
Pay Rate: $55 per hr
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN/private-duty nursing care for a medically complex, wheelchair-dependent patient with significant neurological, respiratory, endocrine, and gastrointestinal needs.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable caring for a patient with multiple complex medical conditions and will provide attentive, skilled nursing care in a home setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitoring respiratory status, oxygenation, heart rate, and overall condition.
- Recognizing early signs of respiratory deterioration or other acute changes.
- Managing and monitoring G-tube feeds and related care.
- Medication administration as ordered.
- Monitoring for seizure activity and other neurological changes.
- Monitoring for signs and symptoms related to adrenal insufficiency and hypothyroidism.
- Providing care related to the baclofen pump and reporting concerns or changes appropriately.
- Managing routine and PRN treatments according to the physician's plan of care
- Maintaining accurate nursing documentation.
- Following emergency and illness protocols established by the patient's medical team.
- Communicating changes in condition promptly to the family and appropriate healthcare providers.
- Providing compassionate, respectful, patient-centered care.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- recent TB test results
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of seizure management and developmental disabilities.
