Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics - In Home Health
Hours: 4hours / week
Pay Rate: $60 / hr
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized, ongoing care for a child diagnosed with Scheuermann Disease, a spinal condition that affects vertebral growth and posture. The ideal candidate will support the child’s medical needs, pain management, mobility support, and overall physical and emotional well-being in coordination with the child’s healthcare team.
This role requires strong clinical expertise in pediatric care, musculoskeletal conditions, and long-term patient support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide direct nursing care tailored to a child with Scheuermann Disease
- Monitor spinal condition-related symptoms, posture changes, and pain levels
- Assist with prescribed physical therapy routines and safe mobility exercises
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects
- Educate and support the child and family on condition management strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
- Coordinate with physicians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Be able to transport patient to Physical therapy appointment at 3:00 pm on Friday 2:15pm-6:15pm
- Coordinate with parents/caregivers and healthcare providers regarding care plans
**Qualifications Required**
- Valid RN license in Georgia.
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal or spinal conditions preferred
- Training or experience in chronic condition management is an advantage
- Strong communication and family-centered care skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care in a home setting
