What you’ll do- Run and care for manual equipment to produce precise parts
- Set up and operate Southwestern Industries mills and lathes using ProtoTRAK controls
- Translate drawings, samples, and instructions into accurate machining steps
- Support research, development, and prototyping initiatives
- Help with sheet metal tasks and other shop needs as they arise
- Keep your station safe, tidy, and organized
- Manual Vertical Mills (Bridgeport, ProtoTRAK, Lagun)
- Manual and Engine Lathes
- CNC Lathes (2–4 axis)
- Surface/Manual Grinders
- Measurement gauges
- Manual machining background with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Blueprint and technical drawing fluency
- ProtoTRAK know-how preferred; Southwestern Industries experience is a plus
- Team-first attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for an 8-hour shift
- Familiarity with steels, alloys, and NDE processes preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bonus: proficiency in CNC machine installation
- Up to $35/hour, depending on experience
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts)
