We are seeking a proactive Bi Lingual HR Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day functions of the HR department. This role will provide administrative HR support and guidance across all business locations regarding terminations, benefits, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and payroll-related questions. The goal is to ensure smooth HR operations that deliver maximum value to the organization. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate hiring for warehouse and transportation positions; partner with managers to define skills and competencies required.
- Onboard new warehouse employees and drivers, including new hire/rehire paperwork, I-9 verification, and WOTC compliance.
- Conduct new hire orientation in English and Spanish.
- Maintain accurate employee files and assist with termination paperwork.
- Implement company culture, core values, and policies.
- Handle routine employee inquiries; escalate complex/sensitive matters appropriately.
- Assist with HR policy interpretation, benefits inquiries, and annual open enrollment.
- Support company events and perform general HR administrative duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong understanding of HR principles, labor laws, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and operate effectively under pressure
