HireArt is helping our client find Robot Operators to join its deployed team at a customer production facility in the Taylor, TX area. In this role, you’ll operate physical robotic prototypes in a live production environment, performing recurring customer tasks while collecting the data and observations that help improve robotic performance.

As a Robot Operator, you will:
- Safely operate physical and simulated robotic prototypes for extended periods using virtual reality headsets and controllers.
- Execute recurring customer tasks with a high degree of consistency, quality, and attention to detail while collecting data and evaluating autonomous behavior.
- Operate simulated robotic systems for training and data collection when the customer site is unavailable.
- Document task outcomes, issues, and technical observations and provide clear, actionable written feedback to remote engineering and development teams.
- Represent the company and its technology professionally while working as a guest at the customer facility.
- Follow all customer-site requirements, including safety protocols, protective equipment, cleanliness standards, and controlled-access procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on robotic systems and maintain robot equipment and work areas.
- Participate in projects to improve tools, workflows, and operational processes.
- Ability to work for extended periods using a virtual reality (VR) headset, with sufficient spatial awareness to safely operate robotic systems
- Comfort performing focused, repetitive tasks for extended periods while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly document technical observations for remote teams
- Ability to consistently follow strict safety, cleanliness, and access protocols within a controlled production environment
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Proficiency using Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems and office productivity tools
- A valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to safely operate company vehicles
- U.S. citizenship as required for this role due to business or legal requirements
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including different shifts, extended hours, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on the customer’s production schedule
- Ability to travel occasionally for onboarding, training, company events, or other business needs
- Ability to work fully onsite in Taylor, TX
- Experience with video gaming, virtual reality systems, or remotely operated platforms such as drones or robotics
- Demonstrated proficiency through competitions, public portfolios, streaming platforms, or other verifiable experience
- Familiarity with command-line interfaces, GitHub, or version-controlled environments
- Experience working onsite at customer or partner facilities or in controlled production or field environments with strict operating protocols

Salary : $32
