Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Route Driver role. The Route Driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries to customers, maintaining the integrity of transported goods, and adhering to all safety and DOT regulations. Duties include loading and unloading materials, performing basic vehicle inspections, and keeping accurate delivery records.
The role also involves communicating with clients, providing strong customer service, managing delivery schedules effectively, and representing A&E Machine Shop in a professional and courteous manner. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Qualifications
Required Licenses & Endorsements
- Class B License, or Class A with proper endorsements
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Must be tested on air brakes
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 6 months welding retail experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, safety‑minded, and eager to learn
- Ability to lift and handle materials as required
Compensation & Benefits
- DOE, starting at $22.00/hr if all qualifications are met
