Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Support the installation of rebar, formwork, metal stud framing, and other structural components following blueprints and schematics
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for concrete pouring, masonry work, roofing, stucco application, and restoration projects
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Maintain safety protocols by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations and using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Assist with demolition, renovation, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, plastering, and other finishing activities as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects or in a related laborer role
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, saws and other tools
- Knowledge of general construction and finishing methods
- Experience operating heavy equipment or heavy machinery is a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, climbing ladders or scaffolding as necessary
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or site transportation is preferred
