Contracted Mental Health Therapist

A Better Therapy Inc. provides mental health and behavioral health services to clients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Brevard County. Our specialty is working with K-12 at-risk youth but can serve all ages in all areas of mental health disorders. We currently have positions open in Seminole County.

We are seeking a therapist that can be open to providing a mix of services held within the community, at home, and/or via telehealth if the referral is appropriate.

Therapy is provided in person, however there is an ability to provide services via teletherapy in response to Covid-19 when deemed appropriate. This is not solely a telehealth position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy sessions 1x a week for 1 hour utilizing evidence-based practices
• Engage in child family counseling to support family dynamics and improve communication.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, if applicable, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Provide support in crisis situations, demonstrating effective conflict management skills.
• Stay informed about best practices in relevant therapeutic approaches.

Experience/Skills

• Proven experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting is preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention and conflict management is essential.
• Willingness to work in partnership with the client to achieve goals
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses.
• Timely and quality concurrent documentation
• Comfortable with utilizing technology at all points of the day, including telehealth software, video communication, electronic signature methods, and internal communication tools.
• Awareness of and compliance with HIPAA

What you Need/Requirements:

• Masters degree in a Mental Health related field REQUIRED (Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family, or Psychology)
• Applicant must pass a level II background screening for AHCA
• Dependable transportation

Applicant must be self-disciplined to manage their own caseloads and deadlines and be consistently punctual with submitting work. ABT is heavily focused on compliance, and clinically sound treatment, in all its service provision, documentation and deadlines per governing insurance and Medicaid requirements.

More About the Position

Position is "Fee-for-Service", Independently Contracted. Position is paid on a percentage of billing, ranging from 45% - 53% based on education and experience level. If you are interested in working with A Better Therapy please email your resume.
