Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Western Pennsylvania for a Direct Care Worker. The role involves assisting clients with their daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene support, light housekeeping, transportation for errands or appointments, and encouraging social interactions. The Direct Care Worker will also provide companionship and emotional support to clients, maintaining a respectful and nurturing environment. Accountability and proactive communication with clients and their families are key to the role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and skills in basic caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene assistance, and housekeeping.
- Ability to provide emotional support, foster positive social interactions, and build trusting relationships with clients.
- Reliable and punctual, with excellent observational and problem-solving skills to address clients' needs effectively.
- Physical capability to assist clients with light exercise and mobility, including transfers and transportation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and their families.
- Prior experience with caregiving or healthcare services is a plus.
- Must be able to provide references
- Requires a 2 STEP TB or QuantiFERON Gold Blood Test not older than one year from application date, per state requirement- must be able to provide proof or get one completed upon hire.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional certifications in caregiving or first aid are a bonus.
