Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service at the fuel pumps and store counters
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling items such as snacks, beverages, or automotive supplies to enhance their experience
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, properly priced, and replenished regularly
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store and fueling area
- Manage inventory by conducting regular stock checks and assisting with merchandising displays
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations from customers or vendors
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar environments is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to assist bilingual customers effectively
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math quickly under pressure
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, professional attitude
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, stocking procedures, and merchandising techniques is advantageous
