BASIC FUNCTION:  Assist in the implementation of Special Education program objectives and activities.

     KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Specific program to which assigned.
• Record-keeping techniques.
• Operation of a computer terminal and data entry techniques.

• Research methods and report writing techniques.
• Laws, rules and regulations related to assigned activities.
• Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities.

• Technical aspects of field of specialty.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  Must be at least 18 years of age, supply proof of a high school diploma and passed the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment OR completion of a minimum of sixty (48) semester hours of study at an institution of higher education OR an associate degree or higher. 

OTHER REQUIRMENTS: Also requires a physical exam, TB risk assessment, CAN check, drug screen and a state/national criminal background check. 183 days for the 2026-27 school year. 7.25 hours per day.
