When the plant comes alive each morning, you’re the steady hand that keeps production humming. You’ll walk the floor, listen for the telltale hiss of a pneumatic leak, review maintenance logs, and prioritize the day’s work. One hour you’re tuning a variable frequency drive to stabilize line speed; the next you’re swapping a hydraulic component, inspecting guards for safety, or helping commission a new piece of equipment. You partner with operations to solve problems quickly and leave clear documentation so the next person has what they need.
What you’ll do- Maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, then implement effective, lasting fixes.
- Inspect and test machines for performance, reliability, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with peers to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
- Record maintenance activities and repairs with accuracy and clarity.
- Uphold safety protocols and keep a clean, orderly work area.
- Assist with installation and startup of new equipment when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience as an industrial mechanic or closely related role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Sharp troubleshooting skills and keen attention to detail.
- Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime when required.
- Physical ability to stand and climb; bend, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Pneumatics and hydraulics (systems, components, and troubleshooting)
- Preventive maintenance and inspection best practices
- Commercial electrical aptitude; electrical/electronic systems
