Pay: $26.00 – $35.00 per hour Commission Bonus Opportunities On Call Rotation Pay

Service Areas: Primarily Pierce and South King County; may occasionally include Kitsap, Thurston, Mason, Snohomish, and Lewis Counties
Hiring Incentive: Experienced Septic Operators are eligible for a $5,000 incentive ($2,500 at 6 months and $2,500 at 1 year)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Septic Pump Truck Operator to join our field operations team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role supporting essential wastewater services.
No prior experience is required. We provide full training for individuals who are motivated, dependable, and willing to learn a skilled trade. Operators develop technical knowledge, safety skills, and field experience through structured on-the-job training.
This role offers a clear path into a respected skilled trade with increasing responsibility, independence, and earning potential. Once trained, operators work with a high level of autonomy in their day-to-day work, making this a strong long-term career opportunity for those who prefer hands-on field work.

Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vacuum trucks (liquid waste systems) in a safe and compliant manner
- Operate 10 to 18 speed manual transmission vehicles
- Receive, interpret, and complete job dispatches using truck-mounted systems
- Perform septic system troubleshooting and field assessment
- Provide professional and customer-focused service to residential clients
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a field operations team
- Perform physically demanding field work throughout the day, including outdoor work in all weather conditions and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
- Safely lift, carry, and move up to and occasionally over 75 lbs as needed, including lids, covers, hoses, and related equipment, sometimes without mechanical assistance
- Maintain availability for on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and job site materials
- Participate in ongoing training, certification, and skill development
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable licensed driving experience (permit time excluded, insurance requirement)
- Must meet FMCSA qualification standards and company/insurance MVR requirements
- Must meet company and insurance carrier underwriting standards based on MVR review, including no DUI/DWI or license suspensions within the past 5 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening (FMCSA compliant)
- Must successfully complete post-hire commercial vehicle road test and operational evaluation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Safety-sensitive role under FMCSA regulations requiring strict compliance with commercial driving standards
- English proficiency sufficient to safely follow instructions, complete documentation, and communicate in the field
- Must be available for on-call rotation and willing to work overtime
- Willingness to learn and perform hands-on field work in varying conditions
- Must obtain and maintain WOSSA 101 and 102 certifications (company paid training provided)

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Class B or higher with Tanker Endorsement
- Experience operating a Septic Pump Truck vehicle
- Willing and able to operate a manual transmission (10-speed or greater)
- 23 years of age (for insurance purposes only)
- Acceptable MVR
- Pass FMCSA Clearinghouse check
- Current WOSSA 101 Certificate
- Pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment
