Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled and dependable Cook to join the A&A Seafood Shack team. You'll play a major role in delivering the fresh, consistent, high-quality seafood our customers expect. This position requires someone who can handle a fast-paced environment, stay organized during rush periods, and take pride in putting out great plates every time. Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook menu items according to A&A standards
- Ensure every plate is consistent in quality, portion, and presentation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and assist with general kitchen cleaning
- Support prep work including chopping, portioning, battering, and marinating
- Monitor fryers, and seafood stations to ensure proper cooking temperatures
- Keep track of food inventory, help reduce waste, and report shortages to management
- Work with the kitchen team and managers to keep service running smoothly during busy hours
Requirements
- Prior cooking or kitchen experience is highly preferred (seafood experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, fryer operation, and safe food handling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without sacrificing quality
- Solid knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions accurately
- Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Food safety certification (Provided by A&A Seafood Shack)
