Architectural Wing of a Los Angeles–Based Development Firm
We are seeking a highly motivated Architectural Designer / Architect to join the architectural arm of our development firm. This role is ideal for a technically strong, design-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, is curious about emerging tools and workflows, and wants to grow into a full-spectrum architect by working closely with senior leadership on ambitious projects.
You will work directly with the Lead Architect on a wide range of high-profile projects across Los Angeles, including Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and beyond—spanning multiple typologies, scales, and phases.
Architectural Background
- Degree in an architecture-related field (a plus)
- 3 years of professional experience in the architectural industry (5 years strongly preferred)
- Experience working with foreign firms
- Experience with English-speaking firms is a major plus
- Strong understanding of architectural design, documentation, and coordination workflows
- Revit (required) – primary documentation and coordination platform
- SketchUp
- Rhino (Grasshopper is a plus)
- Adobe Suite:
- InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (required)
- Premiere Pro (a plus)
- Enscape or D5 (real-time rendering)
- AutoCAD (for coordination and legacy files; not primary software)
- Bluebeam (a plus)
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, design iteration, and workflow efficiency (AI-curious mindset required)
- Fluent professional-level English (written and spoken)
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and proactively in a remote work environment
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn and grow
- Autonomous and independent, with strong time and task management skills
- Comfortable making mistakes, learning from them, and iterating quickly
- Able to manage up, flag roadblocks early, and seek clarity when needed
- Capable of seeing the big picture while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Goal-oriented, with the ability to set and achieve short- and long-term objectives
Work directly with the Lead Architect on ambitious development-driven architectural projects
Contribute across multiple project types and scales, including:
- Alterations & renovations
- Adaptive reuse
- Ground-up construction
- Interior architecture & tenant improvements
Participate in:
- Design development
- Technical documentation and drawing production
- 3D modeling and rendering
- Preparation of presentations and client-facing materials
- Maintain daily communication regarding:
- Task progress
- Project priorities
- Roadblocks and coordination issues
- Opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes
- Actively engage in improving internal systems, templates, and efficiencies
- Direct mentorship and hands-on experience
- Exposure to U.S.-based architectural practice and development-driven design processes
