Job Location Headquarters - Bridgewater, MA
Position Type: Full time
Pay: $20.00 -$22.00 hourly
Must be willing and available to work evenings and Saturday mornings
A & A Metro Transportation seeks a Full time Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative This position is responsible for answering incoming calls, dispatching drivers, and providing on time service. The company provides diversified service to clients ranging from premium service to 7D, to medical, to shuttle and sedan transfers. The Dispatcher/Customer service rep. will be responsible for dispatching vehicles within the greater Boston and surrounding areas.
**Experience with Santa Cruz is a PLUS. **
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Properly take complete & accurate reservations as needed
- Must be able to work well under pressure & have ability to multi-task and make quick decisions
- Input accurate information into our software
- Dispatch and schedule trips
- Coordinate with others around vehicle availability.
- Monitor fleet and dispatch drivers as needed
- Establish a positive rapport with drivers
- Stay in touch while drivers are on the road via phone, computer, or two-way radio.
- Researching to troubleshoot customer problems
- Communicating with drivers, office staff and customers verbally and in writing
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma/ or GED
- Minimum 2 yrs. experience dispatching minibuses, motor coaches, sedans, vans & Taxi’s
- Superior customer service and phone skills, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude when communicating with drivers to ensure high quality service.
- High energy level and sense of urgency
- Work independently as well as be an effective team member.
Weekend availability is a must
