Housekeeper 6am - 2pm (Sunday - Thursday) - Adult Residential Facility

Job Summary
A & A Health Services San Pablo is looking for experienced housekeepers to join our team. We provide transitional housing and resident centered care services for clients suffering from mental health, addiction, and/or dual diagnosis. Join our team to help keep our brand new facility looking shiny and new. This position is responsible for housekeeping and laundry functions of a community, including apartment and common area cleaning, laundry services, carpet care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

This is not an entry-level housekeeping position. candidates should have commercial cleaning experience in Adult Residential Facilities (ex. Senior Living, Rehab, Mental Health, or Detox facilities), Hospitals, or Hospitality.

Availability

The ideal candidate for this position should be available to work Sunday - Thursday for the AM shift (6am - 2pm).

Essential Functions

• Visit assigned residences to perform basic apartment cleaning of bathroom fixtures and floors. This consists of dusting, vacuuming, sheet and linen changing, bed making, and bathroom cleaning including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and floors.
• Change residents’ bedding and linens each week or more frequently in some circumstances.
• Maintain a clean building in all common areas, including main entry, alternative entries, reception area, corridors, bathrooms, activity rooms, and the dining room. This consists of vacuuming carpets, dusting, washing windows, and straightening furniture.
• Ensure all areas are appropriate for visitors and residents 7 days a week.
• Handle hazardous cleaning supplies according to proper procedures and ensure accurate labeling.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Clean public restrooms including washing, sanitizing, and/or polishing bathroom fixtures.
• Respond appropriately to resident emergencies by calling or contacting appropriate internal and external parties, according to established protocol.
• Clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. Properly sets up appropriate caution and safety signs to ensure the safety of residents and visitors and ensure their removal as appropriate.
• Clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting.
• Work in a safe manner and ensure unsafe actions or conditions are brought to the attention of the Maintenance Director.
• Good attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial services is preferred; experience in hospitality settings such as hotels is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is beneficial.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to interact positively with guests and staff.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Commercial, Senior living, or Hospitality cleaning: 1 year (Required)
• Mental health or behavioral health: 1 year (Preferred)
• Commercial cleaning: 2 years (Required)
