This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. with each shift having a 1 hr. unpaid lunch break. Some flexibility required.
- Summary/Objective Under limited supervision, the Collision Repair Tech position performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
- Inspect various automotive systems for functionality and performance.
- Performs system tests to identify any current or potential issues.
- Conduct all repairs aiming for maximum reliability and dependability.
- Troubleshoot customer concerns/problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Thoroughly document necessary repairs and concerns during repairs.
- Follow provided work orders to complete repairs
- Perform maintenance on shop-use tools and equipment.
- Work efficiently and have knowledge of time allotments for outlined repairs.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities pertaining to mechanical repairs.
- Undertake all other duties in the shop as assigned and to completion.
- Proficient with steel and aluminum welding capabilities
- Vehicle measuring using specialized tooling
- Vehicle body straightening and repair

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment Tech must wear PPE while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
