A-1 Electrical Contractors, Inc is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. They will work collaboratively with the project manager and team members to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the project manager in all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Project submittal creation and distribution.
- Communicate project status updates to customers, contractors, and team members regularly.
- Help identify and resolve project issues and mitigate risks.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Construction start-up responsibilities include processing contract documents; preparing, maintaining, and distributing project directories and start-up checklists; upload project information on document management software; permit procurement; assisting Project Managers in developing submittal logs; transmitting and tracking subcontracts and purchase orders; logging and distributing job site signage, posters, office equipment, etc.
- Mid-construction responsibilities include contract document management; update in document management software; assisting project teams with correspondence to subcontractors, suppliers, and clients; transmit and track change orders for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers; monitor logs including RFI and RCO.
- Construction closeout responsibilities include preparing closeout documents; preparing Operation Maintenance manuals; transmit client survey.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
- Two or more years experience in project management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in commercial electrical construction.
- Electrical estimating experience is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, use hands and arms, talk, hear, and view a computer monitor for extended periods. Lifting up to 35lbs occurs occasionally.
