Who we are looking for:
A-1 is constantly growing and evolving in the custom-awards industry, launching new products every year to our customers. We are seeking a talented assembly worker to join our production department in Indianapolis. This person will hit the ground running preparing, assembling, packaging and shipping products. The ideal candidate will be able to organize products per the order, assemble as instructed, pack, and ship a wide variety of products accurately to their destinations and will be able to maintain a positive and resilient attitude in a fast-paced environment. The assembly worker will play a pivotal role in providing our customers with excellent quality and service.
Job Responsibilities will include:
- pulling product for orders
- organizing products per the order
- assembling products as instructed
- packaging finished products
- stocking locations with products and consumables
- use of power tools
- typing and printing accurate shipping information from the shipping system
- maintaining responsive communications both internal and external
- keeping orders on track with production lead times
- guaranteeing all products conform to a high level of quality and shipped on-time
- possibilities for mandatory overtime
- reporting directly to the Assembly Team Leader
The ideal candidate will be:
· detail oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks, problem solve and deliver against tight deadlines
- energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented and eager to contribute/learn
- resilient under pressure and motivated to work ahead when not
Candidates must have the following:
- High School diploma or GED required
- ability to stoop, bend and safely lift reasonable amounts of weight and spend significant portions of your work day on your feet
- ability to accurately calculate quantities and materials consumed
- ability to review and edit material using critical thinking as well as correct grammar and spelling
- ability to work under pressure to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Additional consideration given for candidates with:
- proficiency in typing
