A-1 Appliance Repair is a growing appliance service company focused on providing professional, efficient, and dependable service to homeowners throughout Pennsylvania. We are looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Technician who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong diagnostic skills, and wants to be part of a team that values professionalism, communication, and getting the job done right the first time.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is comfortable working independently, interacting directly with customers, and managing their day in the field. Our technicians represent A-1 Appliance Repair in customers’ homes every day, so we’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a professional and customer-focused approach.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair major residential appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ranges, ovens, and more
• Accurately identify the root cause of appliance failures and recommend the appropriate repair
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Explain appliance issues, repair options, and recommendations clearly to customers
• Provide repair estimates and collect customer payments when applicable
• Maintain accurate job notes, photographs, and service documentation using a tablet or smartphone
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and assigned parts inventory
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, management, customers, and other team members
• Manage daily appointments and work independently while maintaining scheduled arrival times
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and respectful demeanor in every customer’s home

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of professional appliance repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with the ability to identify problems efficiently
• Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electronic appliance systems
• Experience servicing a wide range of major appliance brands and models
• Experience with brands such as GE, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag, Frigidaire, Electrolux, KitchenAid, and others
• Ability to diagnose and complete repairs correctly rather than relying on unnecessary part replacement
• Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in the field
• Professional communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Ability to confidently explain technical problems and repair recommendations to homeowners
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and digital service applications
• Sealed-system experience is a plus
• EPA certification is preferred for technicians performing sealed-system work
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Full-time, 8-hour shifts
• Overtime opportunities available
• Primary service area: Philipsburg, PA and surrounding communities
• Field-based position with daily service appointments throughout the assigned territory
