What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at 9th JDC Public Defender's Office?
SUMMARY:
The front desk receptionist will perform various administrative and clerical tasks to support our office and ensure success. The office clerk must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable undertaking a variety of activities in the office including filing, answering the phone, organizing documents and more. She/he will have the ability to work diligently and independently to help maintain efficient office operations. Reliability and a strong work ethic with great communication skills are a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifies, enters, retrieves, corrects and updates information in manual or automated record keeping systems
- Conduct client interviews on arraignment days
- Interviews clients for bond hearings.
- Monitor stocks of office supplies and report when there are shortages
- Overseeing sorting and distribution of incoming mail
- Organize and maintain files and records, ensuring they remain updated and are easily accessible
- All other duties assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Successful work experience as an office clerk or in another clerical position
- Strong working knowledge of office procedures
- Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment
- Excellent typing skills
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Outstanding communication skills
- Great organizational and multitasking abilities
- Team mentality and willingness to assist in office management and organizational procedures
Job Type: Part-time
