INSIDE SALES ADMIN OVERVIEW
Equip has a small and intimate customer base. As Inside Sales Admin, you will serve as a key link between our customers and internal teams driving revenue through proactive outreach, order support, and account management. This role blends administrative precision with a sales-forward mindset, guided by established processes with an objective of growing existing accounts and converting new opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(include, but are not limited to)
- Account Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned customer base. Build and maintain strong relationships, understand customer needs, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- System Knowledge: Maintain proficiency in end-to-end system workflows across CRM, order management, inventory, and purchasing platforms.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly. Provide immediate solutions for current concerns and proactively suggest preventive measures for future situations.
- Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders, returns, and exchanges. Track shipments and coordinate with fulfillment to ensure on-time delivery and a seamless customer experience.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of company products, services, and pricing to provide accurate recommendations and support to customers.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activity, orders, and resolutions within the CRM and order management system.
- Sales Support & Outreach: Proactively engage existing and prospective customers via phone, email, and chat to present product offerings, promotions, and solutions. Support the sales pipeline by following up on quotes, inquiries, and open opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales administration; preferably in an operations, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer accounts and relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a confident, collaborative phone presence
- Experience learning and working within CRM and order management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an open office environment
