Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team. The Intake Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of service and support as they navigate our clinic. This position involves managing patient information, coordinating appointments, and providing administrative support within a medical office environment. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with the intake process to ensure a smooth experience.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and consent forms.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Meditech and Eaglesoft software for data entry and management of patient information.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate appointments and follow-up care.
- Stay informed about Medicare guidelines and coding practices to assist with billing inquiries.
- Support the clinic’s administrative functions by performing tasks related to health information management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, specifically SYNERGY.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of patient service best practices and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
