Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Job Summary
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about caregiving and has experience in various health care settings.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
• Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Monitor client health by observing changes in condition and reporting to healthcare professionals.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities and personal care.
• Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving, nursing home, assisted living, hospice care, or home health settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential.
• A compassionate nature and a commitment to providing high-quality care are crucial for success in this role.
