Oracle ERP Architect

Position Summary The Oracle ERP Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the overall architecture of Oracle ERP Cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across all modules and integrations. This role provides strategic guidance and technical leadership for Oracle ERP Cloud deployments, including platform configurations, integrations, and extensions. Key Responsibilities: Architectural Leadership: Define and maintain the Oracle ERP Cloud architecture blueprint, including core modules (Financials, Procurement, Projects, etc.), integrations, and platform configurations. Integration Strategy: Design and implement integration patterns using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware solutions to connect ERP with internal and external systems. Platform Configuration: Oversee configuration of Oracle ERP Cloud environments, including security roles, workflows, approval hierarchies, and reporting structures. Solution Design: Provide guidance on best practices for implementing Oracle ERP Cloud features, extensions (using Visual Builder, APEX), and customizations while adhering to Oracle standards. Technical Governance: Establish standards for data migration, interface development, and performance optimization across ERP Cloud environments. Collaboration: Partner with functional leads, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Resolve high-level technical issues related to ERP Cloud integrations, performance, and security. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Oracle ERP Cloud updates, new features, and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements. About The Team The ERP Tech team delivers secure, scalable, and innovative ERP solutions that streamline business processes and drive efficiency. We collaborate closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to ensure seamless integration and data integrity across the enterprise. Our focus is on reliability, continuous improvement, and leveraging technology to enable organizational growth. Primary Responsibilities • Provide leadership and coordination of architectural design and best practices for the implementation and integration of software solutions (custom development, SaaS, COTS) and frameworks. • Lead functional and technical discussions and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, moving between providing functional/technical design details and sharing how an application design would enhance business capabilities, stability, and supportability. • Work effectively with business groups, technology groups, and subject matter experts in a collaborative manner, building constructive and effective relationships. • Leverage the current Clayton technology portfolio, enterprise architectural standards, and established patterns to create solution designs that deliver the required business capabilities and map to desired features/capabilities on the roadmaps. • Partner with the development team in the design and review of solution features, testing and deployment processes to ensure the solution meets the agreed upon business requirements and is supportable and scalable not only at an application layer but at an enterprise level. • Lead design collaboration for solutions which will adequately address the application needs from a framework, component, and capability needs across the organization. • Analyze application requirements and ensure that systems will offer security and will be effectively integrated with current applications. • Drive design of key technical components, frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be leveraged by software engineers, or software engineering teams, and provide leadership over product evaluations, proof of concepts, and product implementations. • Assist in development of and adherence to enterprise standards for software architecture. • Collaborate with other Architects (Technical, Application, Information, Domain), Software Engineering Managers, and Software Engineers to create synergies and drive technology reuse within and across projects. • Provide mentoring to team members, through technical mentoring and strategic thought leadership. • Ability to see and understand the variance between Clayton’s current environment and current technology trends and develop a transition strategy to reach target state through integration patterns, interim state stages, and migration strategies. • Work on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. • Adapt architecture roadmap periodically as the business strategy and goals evolve to ensure ongoing alignment between the business strategy and the architecture strategy.  • Ensure designs support scalability, quality, performance, security, maintainability and architectural integrity, and ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with the defined architecture strategies and goals.  • Collaborate with technology leaders to ensure the program takes advantage of appropriate architecture frameworks and remains in compliance with established security practices. • Define strategy, plans, and governance needed to implement and manage enterprise architecture domain designs and technology standards. Facilitate technology strategy and analyze industry and market trends to determine potential impact to the organization. • Analyze current application environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions. • Mentor and lead other architects in their journey towards a deeper understanding of architecture patterns and practices. Qualifications: Proven experience in Oracle ERP Cloud architecture Expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware solutions. Strong understanding of platform configuration, including security, workflows, and reporting. Hands-on experience with data migration strategies, interface development, and performance tuning. Ability to lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance to development teams. Familiarity with Oracle PaaS tools for ERP Cloud extensions.
